Imagin' Ltd are an innovative visual communications business based just outside Southampton, they have been established for over 7 years. GOWI were introduced to Imagin over 18 months ago through a mutual client and have become a preferred partner for all Imagin's web development work for themselves and on behalf of their own clients.

Problem

Imagin' realised they spent a great deal of time managing PDF's which were used to obtain client sign off or alteration, prior to printing a required item of literature. The team's Outlook inbox was awash with copies of the same PDF sent to the Imagin' office by the same client who had cc'd in the whole team. This was causing not only a time problem but a server memory problem as well.

Solution

Imagin' approached GOWI to develop an online proofing application that would house one copy of a PDF proof and notify the client by email attaching a link to the PDF. Any client changes were added by means of comments to the proof record and an audit history was built up of the proofs life cycle. Revisions that were necessary were added to the job record and uploaded to the central proof server requiring only one item to be in existence at any one time.

Benefits

The clients receive proofs as soon as Imagin' have finished producing them and any comments applied are notified to Imagin' as soon as the client submits them, reminders are also automatically generated should a client fail to view a proof in a specified time frame. This has significant benefits in meeting tight deadlines.
